Cambrian Heights Greenspace

This 10 x 14" watercolour painting on archival paper

In the spring of 2022, I had been reading the David Hockney and Martin Gayford book “Spring Cannot Be Cancelled”. This was on my commute at the time so was photographing and drawing it constantly as the leaves came out that year. It serves as a report on the green spaces that sit in these neighborhoods. Not particularly landscaped or thought through, but respite for the birds and brave dog owners (this dog park runs alongside 10th street).
