Nosecreek Quartet of Overpasses
Following Nosecreek as it shoots along Deerfoot Trail (though really, Deerfoot follows it), takes you under this quartet of overpasses scene. They are, in sequence from furthest to nearest: Memorial westbound, LRT westbound, LRT eastbound, and Memorial eastbound. At this point the creek has been industrialized, with field stone walls. It's a bit humiliating as a finish, as the meeting point between the creek and the Bow is just a hundred metres away. If this was a walk down the aisle, it wouldn't have the the most celebratory tenor. Still, it isn't without drama, and the northbound train line is running on the eastern bank, and when the traffic above gets weighty, there is a pleasing thumpy echo and sense of kinetic energy underneath these bridges.
Artist print from digital painting. This image is printed with a 1" border on Hahnemuhle Smooth Photorag. Both the paper and inks are archival. The 8 x 10" ships flat, the 16 x 20" ships flat in the city and rolled outside the city. For more details about digital prints check out my post: HERE
