Glenbow Ranch Hill

When you descend into the river valley on the tiger lily trail at Glenbow Ranch, looking back up at the hill line is a dramatic ridge. Photographs have the nasty habit of squishing things, and this painting was done based on drawings finished on site.  

This is an 8 x 10 oil painting done on a birch cradled panel. I use Kama paint which is produced in Quebec and uses walnut oil.
