Glenmore Reservoir Frozen Over

A low slung, overcast sky sits above the frozen reservoir. There is a pearlescent quality to the frozen, late winter snow. Shrubs are fringing the edge of the ridge, and the snow on the path has churned, melted, and the mud mixed in. The mounted binoculars provide scale and contrast. 

This is an 8 x 10 oil painting done on a primed canvas panel. I use Kama paint which is produced in Quebec and uses walnut oil.
