I had an early bike ride this morning to arrive at the CBC studios just below the Foothills Complex. It was really fun to meet Loren McGinnis and the rest of the team on the Eyeopener. Talking about the book, and our experiences in the wonderful parks in Calgary.

My youngest daughter and I were talking the other day looking at a book by William Grill. I'm in awe of that book and his paintings/drawings. (Check out Shackleton's Journey) She said to me "You are a good painter too" and I just about corrected her in that self-effacing "I'm not a painter" way. I stopped myself and let it ride. This morning's conversation on the radio another step forward as an artist and a painter.
